At our spa for the mind we embrace the places where  philosophy and activity meet... Our belief is that in creating a reciprocal relationship between activity and philosophy, they enrich each other and make each other more accessible Our intention in twinning philosophy and activity is to encourage and nurture a reflective practice around those things we do We use conversation and table talk to work through those insights and ideas that emerge from your weekend experience with us.

Incorporating a reflective practice into an activity can open up new horizons...

For example, at our wwp scrapbooking weekend we combine hands-on scrapbooking under the guidance of an experienced practitioner, with a philosophical exploration of how stories linked to photographs and other memorabilia help us to probe our emotions, explore our connections to others, and tap into our fondness for past times and special places. One thing is for sure...You'll never look at photographs in the same way again. Look out for details of our upcoming scrapbooking weekend, being held in 2011.

We have a growing Montreal-based membership that meets on a bi-monthly basis, and is devoted to exploring how philosophy can change our lives. We use a variety of conversational forms and exercises to work ideas that have piqued the interest of our members.  Among the areas we have touched upon are: Women and Obedience Gertrude Stein's 'A rose is a rose is a rose...'
